    Darrell Edward Issa (; born November 1, 1953) is an American businessman and politician. He is the U.S. Representative for California's 50th congressional district since 2021. Before, he was the RepublicanU.S. Representative for California's 49th congressional district, from 2001 to 2019.

    In January 2018, Issa announced his retirement from Congress.[4] On September 19, 2018, PresidentDonald Trump nominated Issa as Director of the United States Trade and Development Agency.[5][6]
